zara phillips wedding
Kate has decided to recycle outfits for other royal engagements too.
Earlier this year, she was seen wearing the same blue jacquard coat dress to the Duke of Edinburgh's 90th birthday party, after previously breaking it out back in 2009.
Kate also wore the same black and white dress she had previously worn to a nightclub back in 2007 as she attended a friend's wedding in June.
And, as she began her royal tour of Canada with William earlier this month, Kate made the decision to wear the white Reiss dress she had donned for one of her official engagement photographs ahead of the pair's wedding in April.
It was reported earlier this year that the Duchess had told a friend she didn't want to be a 'clothes horse', and was intending to wear her outfits more than once.
She was quoted as telling a friend: 'Times are tough; I cannot be expected to wear a new outfit for every royal engagement. I am not a fashion model.'
The friend also apparently said: 'The Duchess is aware that people are struggling in the current economic climate.
'Changing outfits for every engagement is simply not practical nor affordable and would send out the wrong message.'

Haven't we seen that outfit somewhere before? Kate turns up to Zara's wedding in a coat she last wore in 2006
She gave the pale gold outfit an update with an oversized tilted hat, lined on the underside with a bow and giant bloom. On her feet, her trademark nude pumps.
Five years ago when she wore the outfit last, Catherine chose a beige and black feathered hat and nude kitten heels.
It is the second time this weekend that Kate has broken out a trusty favourite. At the pre-wedding cocktail party yesterday, Kate chose to wear a green Diane Von Furstenberg dress she had worn previously at a reception during her and William, the Duke of Cambridge's, tour of Los Angeles earlier this month.
In an attempt to make the outfit look different, Kate teamed it with a pair of black patent heels - in contrast to the nude court shoes she accessorised it with last time.
The $398 silk 'Maja' dress, from the designer's new collection, featured a green sash belt and a deep V back, complete with brushed gold buttons running down the seam.

As the Duchess of Cambridge, the wife of the future King of England, Kate has the world at her feet.
After establishing herself as a fashion icon, designers are constantly falling over themselves in a bid to dress the world's most famous royal.
But as she arrived at Canonbury Kirk for Zara Phillips' wedding this afternoon wearing a dress that has rested in her wardrobe for more than five years, it sent out the clear message that Kate has no desire to act as Royal clothes horse - nor did she wish to turn Zara's big day into a fashion parade.

Hat's amazing: The key difference between the 2006 ensemble and that of 2011 was Kate's strikingly large headgear

Kate Recycles Her Wardrobe For Zara Phillips's Wedding – Again
She did it again!
For Zara Phillips's wedding festivities, the down-to-earth Duchess of Cambridge made a weekend of recycling her wardrobe.
First, she wore a green silk Diane von Furstenberg dress for the Friday evening yacht reception – the same frock that she wore to an event in Los Angeles.
Then, for the wedding ceremony on Saturday, Kate stepped out in a cream-colored coat that royal watchers have seen on her before: at Laura Parker Bowles's wedding in 2006.
Princess Beatrice Another Outrageous Hat
Satellite dish replaces the beige 'cat flap' at Zara Wedding
Who can forget the hilarious 'Pretzel Hat' that Princess Beatrice wore to the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton last Spring.Well she has not disappointed with her latest choice of headgear, causing another stir at the Royal wedding of Zara Phillips (daughter of Princess Ann) to Rugby Captain, Mike Tindall. It was a low key affair but all of the usual suspects didn't disappoint with Kate, "The Austerity Royal" wearing the same coat that she wore to the May 2010 wedding of Mel Nicholson and Oli Baker, at St. Andrews and previously to the 2006 wedding of Laura Parker Bowles and Harry Lopes. Her recycled dress was the same pale gold lace dress that she wore to the 2006 wedding, as well as to a 2007 book signing for Simon Sebag Montefiore’s, "Young Stalin" attending with her sister Pippa Middleton. A good thing to recycle, perhaps now the press will leave her alone.
The Tindalls tried to keep their wedding a private family occasion, but the crowds were determined to share in their happiness during the first Royal wedding to be held in Scotland in 20 years. Zara, 30, will keep her maiden name when she marries. It is understood this is because of her sporting career in equestrianism.
Mr Tindall, from Otley in Yorkshire, plays for club side Gloucester and has been capped more than 60 times for his country. The Duke of York accompanied his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie with no sign of mother Fergie on this occasion either. Princess Beatrice traded in her cat-flap hat for a new one that resembles a satellite dish. Headgear is mandatory at Royal Weddings. Beatrice the 22 year old granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II donned a new creation by the well known British milliner Philip Treacy. William Hill the betting shop took bets on what hat the style icon would wear have seen a run of cash for Princess Beatrice headwear at Zara's Wedding: 1/2 Fascinator, 6/4 Hat, 8/1 No Headwear, 100/1 Crown.
Philip Treacy studied journalism at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. He has designed hats for Alexander McQueen's white Haute Couture collection at Givenchy in Paris and for Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel. He designs hats for all the most important designers in the world including Valentino, Ralph Lauren and Donna Karen. He has been awarded the title of British Accessory Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards on five occasions during the early 1990s.The late Isabella Blow, style editor of Tatler, helped Treacy launch himself as a well known milliner and wore many of his hats. He was awarded an honorary OBE for services to the British fashion industry by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at a ceremony in Clarence House on 19 November 2007. He has designed hats for various films including Harry Potter films, and designed Sarah Jessica Parker's hat for the première of the film, Sex and the City. Thirty-six of Treacy's hats were worn at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29 April 2011, including the hat worn by Princess Beatrice of York, which was widely mocked by the media but later sold on ebay for £81,101 ($131,650) the highest price realised for a hat at auction..

Heavy night, Mike? Tindall is still in his morning suit the morning after as he emerges with his new wife Zara
He's known for his love of enjoying a good party and it looks as though Mike Tindall had the time of his life after marrying Zara Phillips.
The England rugby star wore the same grey trousers and blue collared shirt he did the day before and looked as though he hadn't slept a wink.
Zara, who arrived separately from her husband, looked radiant in white jeans, flip flops and a beige sleeveless top.

The newlyweds departed from the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh this afternoon in a chauffeur-driven silver Mercedes.
But instead of heading off on honeymoon, the sporting couple are postponing their break and preparing for a return to training this week.
Former equestrian world champion Zara, 30, will be competing in the Gatcombe Park horse trials later this week and England rugby star Tindall, 32, is likely to feature in a match against Wales next Saturday.
Ahead of the couple's departure other members of the royal family, including Prince Harry, the Duke of York and Zara's mother the Princess Royal were also seen leaving the palace.
The Queen and Prince Philip left by helicopter and were taken to Balmoral Castle to begin their summer holiday.
Prince Charles and the Duchess or Cornwall are thought to have left before them and headed for the Caslte of Mey.
The couple have been determined to keep their wedding a private family occasion, but the crowds have been equally determined to share in their happiness during the first Royal wedding to be held in Scotland in 20 years.
Many frantically waved Union Jacks and the Scottish Saltire as the couple emerged from the ceremony shortly before 4pm yesterday, filling the air with cheers. Some, clearly touched by the splendour of the occasion, dabbed their eyes.
Zara dazzled the crowds in her full-length ivory silk gown with silk tulle detail, designed by the Queen’s favourite couturier Stewart Parvin.
The pair emerged a little later and Mike had finally changed out of his wedding gear into something a little more casual

The one-time Royal rebel, who proudly sported a tongue ring, looked every inch the traditional bride and this was her chance to be a princess for a day.
Her blonde hair was pulled back into an elegant chignon and she wore a sparkling diamond tiara lent by her mother, she looked effortlessly beautiful.
